Fortune Cookies and Word for the Year
Join us for the first in the series of empowering monthly workshops, "A Journey of Self-Discovery Through Art," designed exclusively for women seeking to explore their creativity while embarking on a transformative quest of self-discovery. Each session will provide a safe and nurturing space for participants to express themselves and connect with a community of women.
This month, we invite you to create your very own ceramic fortune cookies, as well as other items of your choosing ( beads, a dish, napkin rings) using art as a medium to explore your vision, intentions, and goals for the upcoming year. These delightful and symbolic pieces will serve as a canvas for your aspirations, allowing you to manifest your personal "word of the year" as a guiding principle that will inspire, motivate, and manifest in you throughout the months to come.
Our workshop will begin with a guided discussion about the power of intention-setting and how art can facilitate self-reflection and growth. Participants will then engage in hands-on ceramic crafting, learning techniques to shape, design, and personalize their fortune cookies. Each cookie serves as a tangiblereminder of your unique journey and objectives as well as a customizable centerpiece at a dinner party (imagine including a question, quote, or word placed inside to inspire dinner table conversation) or as a personal gift for a loved one with a personalized message.
Whether you are an experienced artist or trying your hand at ceramics for the first time, this workshop is suitable for all skill levels. As we create and connect, we will share insights, offer support, and celebrate the strength found in our collective experiences, providing you an enriching adventure of creativity, connection, and self-discovery.AND… you’ll have your own creations to reflect a beautiful metaphor for the possibilities that lie ahead!
